Iran’s war becomes a succession and diplomacy test

Iran’s conflict moved from a tentative strike pause into a fragile diplomatic channel while a leadership succession tested the regime’s ability to project continuity. The same crisis left the Strait of Hormuz partially constrained, with oil flows recovering through a protected corridor rather than returning to normal.

Russia and Ukraine intensified reciprocal deep strikes, turning pressure on cities and energy infrastructure into a central feature of the war.
